Application:
- Ear tag pliers
User Tips:
- Suitable for: cattle
- The transponders are welded ultrasonically (not glued), which means the antenna is fully encased in resin. This acts as a dual preventive measure against the potential effects of moisture
- The male part (with pin) must always be applied from the back of the ear
- The female part (without pin) must always be applied from the front of the ear
Product measurements:
- Electronic ear tag:
- Diameter: 30,5 mm
- Thickness: 15,65 mm
- Male part of ear tag:
- Measurements: 57 x 60,5 mm (h x w)
- Thickness: 1-2 mm
- Pin length: 24 mm
- Pin diameter: 5,6 mm
Material properties:
- TPU
- UV resistant
- Point type: brass
Technical specifications:
- Colour: yellow
- Standard metal pin
- Perforation closure: closed
- Order unit quantity: per set
- Packaging: sorted in a resealable plastic bag
Details:
- A code is stored in the transponder, which allows the animal to be recognised. The transponder only activates when the ear tag reader sends out an electromagnetic signal. This prevents the animal from noticing the chip itself. The signal activates the chip and the animal’s code is sent to the scanner, which identifies the animal and determines whether or not the information can be processed automatically
- Difference between FDX and HDX:
- FDX (Full Duplex): the exchange of information from the ear tag to the reader and from the reader to the ear tag takes place simultaneously. This means there is a constant connection through which information is sent across. The drawback of this technology is that, by comparison, the signal is weaker and its range is shorter, which requires the reader to be held closer to the transponder. The advantage is that the technology is a bit less expensive than HDX.
- HDX (Half-Duplex): an HDX transponder will only send information back to the reader once the electromagnetic field has been disabled. The advantage of this technology is that, by comparison, the signal is stronger than that of FDX, which allows information to be scanned from a greater distance. The drawback is that this technology is more expensive than FDX
Legislation:
- Printed and programmed according to ISO standard 11784 /11785
